Circularity Assessment Protocol
Goal
Conduct research in Metro Manila using the Circularity Assessment Protocol (CAP)
Timeline
2021
In 2021, we served as the local implementing partner of the University of Georgia's Jambeck Research Center to conduct field work in three cities within Metro Manila. Our work included product and packaging assessments in stores across the city; material type characterizations for consumer plastic items; cost analysis of reusable products and alternatives to plastic available in the city; visual audits of recycling contamination; identification of public waste and recycling collection bins; and litter transects.
