ABOUT THE COMMSERVATION WORKSHOP

The Commservation Workshop started in 2018 as a half-day workshop to improve communication skills of environmental advocates and practitioners. “Commservation” is a combination of “communication,” “community,” and “conservation.” The Commservation Workshop aims to (i) build a community of science communicators; (ii) develop science-based and locally-relevant communication materials; and (iii) strengthen the network of Filipino science communicators and storytellers. The 2024 Commservation Workshop is supported by The Marketplace. The 2024 Commservation Workshop in UP will have interactive sessions on science communication, data visualization, grant-writing, and public speaking/verbal communications. A Certificate of Participation will be provided to students who will complete the workshop.
